Alfred Hymas Ltd is the largest family-owned bulk haulier in North Yorkshire.  Established in Burton Leonard, near Harrogate nearly 100 years ago, the Company has built-up and maintained a high reputation within the haulage industry.

 

Today, the Company’s fleet is 62, employing 80 members of staff.  The Company still operates from the same depot in Burton Leonard.

 

Alfred Hymas Ltd specialises in bulk haulage, predominantly serving the aggregate and agricultural industries.  With the exception of 1 Curtain-sider, 60% of the fleet’s workload accounts for the movement of aggregates to concrete producing companies, 35% for the movement of agricultural produce and feeds to grain merchants / feed companies and 5% for coal and other products.

 

Based on current statistics, Alfred Hymas Ltd transports more than 6000 tonnes per day.  That’s around 1,750,000 tonnes per year!

 

 

 

The all modern mixed Volvo and Renault fleet, work out of the following depots:

· Ripon

· Keighley
